The CL Tour – Calvin Falwell Field

The Dash leave Lynchburg after tonight’s series finale, so it is time to say so long to Calvin Falwell Field at Lynchburg City Stadium. Here are a few pictures from around the old-school ballpark.

The area behind home plate provides a very unique backdrop for baseball.

Almost all of the individual seats are underneath the suites and protected by a screen, giving the prime seats a strange feel.

Every former Hillcat to reach the big leagues has a spot on this board.

The concourse is one of the cleanest and nicest in the CL.

Finally, my view from the booth, which also serves as the best view of the outfield. The mountain background adds to the middle-of-nowhere feel here at the field.
