Dash Newcomer Is A Familiar Face
Over the last two months, the Dash have had many roster moves. One of the busiest travelers has been J.R. Ballinger, and the right-handed reliever is on the move once again.
Ballinger will return to Winston-Salem after spending four days with Triple-A Charlotte, the White Sox announced Sunday afternoon.
In his two appearances with the Knights, Ballinger surrendered six runs, four of which were earned, in four and two-thirds innings. The Moss Point, Miss., native has made 16 appearances with the Dash, going 0-2 with an ERA of 4.70 over 23 innings.
Ballinger also made one appearance for Low-A Kannapolis during the first half. He retired both men he faced.
Now, Ballinger just needs to head to Double-A Birmingham for the full-season affiliate sweep.
