120 Minor League Stadiums – One Summer
Minor league baseball is a special part of our country. But what do the minors mean? That’s what Matt and Carolyn LaWell are trying to discover.
The married couple are spending their summer visiting all 120 full-season minor league teams. Today, BB&T Ballpark is their workshop, and the Dash are their 77th team.
I strongly encourage you to check out their website at AMinorLeagueSeason.com. Here are a few notable or interesting stories from their travels so far this season.
A Chicago Original – The story of Nancy Faust, the former organ player for the Chicago White Sox who now plays for the Kane County Cougars.
Everything under the Sun – Stories from the Bakersfield Blaze, one of the most interesting minor league stops in the country.
Live from Regions Park – A profile of Birmingham broadcaster Curt Bloom.
Check out this map with every team available on it (click on each state to see the teams). It is an incredible journey.
Here’s hoping park number 77 is their favorite.
