Who Lives in a Pineapple Under the Sea?

Spongebob is ready for baseball at BB&T Ballpark (Spongebob Squarepants).

The answer is Spongebob Squarepants, and there is no doubt that he will be a key aspect of today’s game between the Dash and the Potomac Nationals.

That’s because more than 3,000 students will be in attendance for today’s noon contest at BB&T Ballpark, and Spongebob’s theme song tends to get plenty of love when a minor league team plays an early game.

In all seriousness, we are excited to bring the Dash experience to these students. Speaking of, here are the schools that will be represented at BB&T Ballpark this afternoon:

– Carter G. Woodson Elementary School
– Carter Vocational High School
– Cedar Ridge Elementary School
– Copeland Elementary School
– Cornatzer Elementary School
– East Forsyth High School
– East Forsyth Middle School
– Franklin Elementary School
– Hall-Woodward Elementary School
– North Davie Middle School
– North Hills Elementary School
– Petree Elementary School
– Roaring River Elementary School
– Sandy Ridge Elementary School
– St. Leo Catholic Elementary School
– Westchester Country Day School
– West Stokes High School
– White Plains Elementary School

I went to one minor league game as a field trip in school, but my experience was hampered a bit by the fact that we left EARLY! I never leave games early, but we had to get back to school before the end of the school day. It was the most depressing end to a field trip in my life. I hope none of these students have to go through the same experience.

Still, I will take a trip down memory lane today when all of these students enjoy Dash baseball, and we hope all of them enjoy it. Sure, there will be plenty of Spongebob today, but I wish there would be more of these three shows, my favorite cartoons of my childhood.

3. Doug

There were a few other shows that almost edged Doug for the top 3, but Mr. Funnie and his gang get this spot. I forgot how great the rope is during this intro.

2. Rugrats

When I was younger, I wanted to be as cool as Tommy Pickles. I failed miserably.

1. Hey Arnold!

I couldn’t get enough of this show as a kid. If we play the theme song during the game, I will be a happy man.

Mike and I hit the air early today. It’s an 11:45 a.m. Pre-Game Dash, with first pitch set for noon between the Dash and the P-Nats. We’ll talk to you then.

I guess my age is showing, I’ve never heard of any of these shows. Of course I never had children of my own either. But my favorites were Howdy Doody and the Mickey Mouse Club.
